Tamayo

40 Years

Organized in three volumes, Tamayo: 40 Years is the editorial project commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Tamayo Museum. These publications collect the institutional history of the museum from its planning and inauguration to the present. The first volume is the catalog of the exhibition Beyond the Trees, which compiles four essays about the nuclei of the exhibition carried out by its curators; the second, Crocodiles in the Pond. The Origins of the Tamayo Museum in the Voice of its Protagonists, which brings together for the first time the oral history of the museum through interviews with its main actors and is accompanied by an unprecedented selection of archive material; the third, Another Long Story with Many Knots, constitutes a history of the exhibitions that have occupied the spaces of the Museo Tamayo over the last forty years.
