About the author

Richard Findley is a full-time production turner based in Leicestershire in the UK. His background is in woodwork, having trained as a joiner and worked in the family joinery business. He comes from a long line of woodworkers going back at least five generations. It is the variety of work that he enjoys, undertaking commissions for one-off prototypes to large production runs, turning for furniture makers, restorers, architects and joiners. His work is mainly based in the UK but his reputation for making the highest quality turned work has earned him commissions for items that have gone to the US, Canada and Australia. Richard is a well known and popular demonstrator and has travelled widely around the UK, Ireland and the USA. He has written articles for Woodturning Magazine in the UK since 2010 and has a large following on Instagram.
