About the author

Having studied Fine Art at the Slade School, London, Susie Johns began her publishing career as a magazine and partworks editor before becoming a freelance writer and designer. She is the author of more than 30 craft books on a range of subjects including knitting, crochet, papier mache and embroidery. Susie has also contributed to a number of magazines, such as Lets Knit, Crafts Beautiful, Embroidery, Needlecraft, Womans Weekly, Family Circle, Practical Parenting and Art Attack and has made several television appearances demonstrating various crafts. She particularly enjoys art and craft activities that involve recycling and reinventing. Susie is a qualified teacher and runs workshops in drawing and painting, knitting and crochet, embroidery, and 3D design. She is the founder member of the East Greenwich knitting group, Knitting Night at The Pelton.
